Terralea's Matteo

Matteo is a 15.1 hand 7 yo registered and certified to breed mare. She was my Competitive Trail / Endurance horse this year. I have spent many miles on the trail with this girl and she is fit and sound and ready for so much more. I wouldn't match her with a beginner rider. Only because she has spent this season in competitive trail training. She is in great condition and loves to go out on the trail. She has amazing stamina, you can ride her all day long...... She has been over, under and through just about any obstacle you can think of and when other horses refuse, we just pass them and lead the group forward.
In the barn and pasture she has perfect manners for anyone handling her. She foaled a filly last year and was a wonderful mother.
She also carries the very rare gene, Champagne. Her coloring is an Amber Champagne Buckskin. This is ideal for breeding for those exotic colors that we all love in the Rocky Mt. Horses.

Starrett Farm's Mt. Moriah "Riah"

Riah was born April 18, 2007. She is a red chocolate. Her dam is Matteo, an amber buckskin sired by Merry Go Blue. Her sire is Rocky Top, a chocolate/Flax sired by Johnson's Toby. This particular filly is going to be tall. Her dam is 15.1h. We are expecting her to be just as tall if not and inch or two taller. She has a wonderful friendly personality and gaits quite eagerly in the field. Her dazzling looks and flashy movements will certainly get you noticed both on the trail and in the ring! She has a wonderful dispostion and loves attention.

Starrett Farm's Dix Mountain "Dixie"

Born on March 16, 2007. This is your tried and true 'old style' mountain horse! Dixie has the most amazing personality and calm demeanor. There isn't anything that this girl won't do. She will follow you through anything! No questions asked. Her dam is Reesey (aka Noel), a Maples Squirrel mare! Her sire is Rocky Top by Johnson's Toby. You couldn't ask for better breeding papers! Put that with her conformation, color, gait and personality.... This is one incredible horse. Her dam is black with a 36" mane. This little girl looks like she will have the same thick mane and tale. We estimate that she will be around 14.3 - 15h. Matching both parents.

Starrett Farm's Mt. Grace
"Gracie"
Gracie is home and now looking for her future playmates. She has warmed our hearts with her fun attitude. She finished at 15h. She is solid black with the smallest star. She has a collected gait and high head carriage. She loves to go without racing away with you. She is always well behaved in hand and great for the farrier and vet. Sam's Curly Dancer
"Owen"
This is a tough sale for us..... Owen is the gelding that we bought for Craig as a two year old. He was born in Sept. 2001. He stands at 15h. His sire is Sam'sons First Choice by Broken Bones Sam'Son. He has the most wonderful personality and LOVES attention!! Which is why we are selling him. With all our new additions our time is limited. This horse is just too good to be hanging out in our fields with nothing to do.... He is a great example of a true Rocky Mountain Horse... His temperment, conformation and gait are fantastic.
